Walking Gallery Blog Post

I saw many good themes today. They were all very different. I liked Matt Hoeg's replace a face and I enjoyed Andrews' pictures. I heard a lot of good mixes that really fit their themes well, not sure the artists though. These two units taught me a lot from how to edit photos in many different ways to making decent mixes. I also learned that copyright is very important for both sound and photos. The class has learned a lot and I know I have grown as multimedia designer. I have many skills such as editing photos and making mixes for the future.

News Podcast Evaluation

To evaluate my news podcast I had two other people watch it and critique it. I believe that my podcast is professional and that she should use it on air. It should be used because the end of the lockout was a big moment in the sports world and it has a good story to get people excited for the NBA season. I would like to help out this process in the future because I had a fun time creating my podcast.

Sound Intro and Hearing Loss

Sound travels in waves. You can measure sound by its amplitude. Some basic effects are amplify, fade in/out, pitch, tempo, reverse, and tracking.
Over half the people that suffer from hearing loss are under the age of 65. There is really no cure to hearing loss. I am now aware that listening to music loudly is cool now but it will effect you in the long run.

Photoshop Examples

In the photoshop unit I learned many new things. Two of my favorites are to cut things out of a picture, and to remove something from a picture.

Slideshow

Sharing photos with Iphoto is easy. You just edit the photos how you want but make sure to give the sites where you found the photos credit. To create a slide show you just create an album and select what photos you want to be in the slideshow.

Welcome!

Welcome to Alex Sturm's Multimedia Blog! I am now learning how to edit and organize photos using iPhoto. I watched some videos about iPhoto and I learned that you can add photos from a digital camera very easily. Also you can create a new photo album with a click of a button. You can change the name of that album also.
